DHS FEMA Mandated NIMS Training required for all ES qualified CAP Personnel
The level of training required depends on your duty position as outlined in table attached to the 10 APR 08 Memo from the National Commander. Basic operators and field level personel will require IS-100 (GES) and IS-700. Supervisors, team leaders and staff personel will require additional qualifications per the table. IS-700 and several others are available on-line from FEMA (DHS), but some higher levels will require classroom training from other sources or as available from CAP. Monitor CAWG email list traffic for training opportunities.
Notes:
1.) If you are already GES qualified, then you should see IS-100 appear on your 101 Card automatically.
2.) Other training will have to be input to e-services by Squadron Staff Officers from paper certificates.
